Redistribution of Wealth Via Tyranny

Stand at the Door!

“Why do the nations rage,
And the people plot a vain thing…?”

“He who sits in the heavens shall laugh;
The LORD shall hold them in derision.
Then He shall speak to them in His wrath,
And distress them in His deep displeasure” (Ps 2:1, 4, 5)

With so much news and commentary swirling around the possibility of the election of Barack Obama, I have decided to discuss some (not all) of the most significant PRAYER POINTS:

1. Pray that because Obama is so cocky, proud, elitist, vain and self-exalting (allowing himself to be   viewed as “the messiah” without refutation), may God be true to His Word:

“I will halt the arrogance of the proud,
And will lay low the haughtiness of the tyrants.” (Isa 13:11)

“And the people kept shouting, ‘The voice of a god and not of a man!’” (Acts 12:22)

“[T]hey prophesy to you a false vision, divination, a worthless thing, and the deceit of their heart.” (Jer 14:14b)

2. Pray that Obama’s socialistic/Marxist “redistribution of wealth” plans, which have been deeply embedded in him since childhood, will be further exposed, explained and rejected! This ideology is decidedly unbiblical since it involves a pagan state’s forcibly stealing money from one group and passing it around to others:

“You shall not steal.” (Ex 20:15)

“You shall not covet your neighbor’s house” (Ex 20:17)

“However, you shall solemnly forewarn them, and show them the behavior of the king who will reign over them… And he will take the best of your fields, your vineyards, and your olive groves, and give them to his servants… And you will be his servants.” (1 Sam 8:9, 14, 17b)

“You shall do no injustice in judgment. You shall not be partial to the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty. In righteousness you shall judge your neighbor.” (Lev 19:15)

“The soul of a lazy man desires, and has nothing;
But the soul of the diligent shall be made rich.” (Prov 13:4)

“To show partiality is not good” (Prov 28:21)

“Then tax collectors also came to be baptized, and said to him, ‘Teacher, what shall we do?’ And He said to them, ‘Collect no more than what is appointed for you.’” (Luke 3:12-13)

3. Pray that the Lord will confound the plans of Obama and his fellow-travelers to institute a TOTALITARIAN state by silencing all opposition and free speech in talk radio and the pulpits of America (See the tactics of Putin in Russia, Chavez in Venezuela, Castro in Cuba, the Chinese, etc; individuals like Joe the Plumber are already being persecuted by the media and government agents.):

“So they called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.” (Acts 4:18)

“[T]hey commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.” (Acts 5:40b)

“Who say to the seers, ‘Do not see,’
And to the prophets, ‘Do not prophesy to us right things;
Speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits.’” (Isa 30:10)

“The prophets prophesy falsely,
And the priests rule by their own power” (Jer 5:31)

“O LORD our God, masters besides You
Have had dominion over us” (Isa 26:13a)

“A ruler who lacks understanding is a great oppressor” (Prov 28:16a)

“Also they have dominion over our bodies and our cattle
At their pleasure;
And we are in great distress.” (Neh 9:37b)

“So Jehoahaz pleaded with the LORD, and the LORD listened to him; for He saw the oppression of Israel, because the king of Syria oppressed them.” (2 Kings 13:4)

I realize I have left out a myriad of very significant issues about which the Lord cares deeply; in fact, He calls them “abominations” (e.g., see Lev 18:21-29; Prov 6:16-19):

For example, abortion, homosexuality, racism, lying, false prophesy, wicked associates – (See I Cor 5:19b).

However, from my perspective the overarching issue is TYRANNY! If our government is able to ignore or destroy the foundations of various liberties which our beloved Constitution has bestowed on us, all is lost:

“But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.” (Prov 29:2b)

“An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous” (Prov 29:27a)

We will be GROANING!

So, I have brought to your attention what I believe are manifest evidences of how the God of the Bible feels about these great issues. You may differ with me. But, I do not recommend you ignore God’s stated “Opinions” and Will. If you do, it is at your peril. I have done my job:

"So you, son of man: I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore you shall hear a word from My mouth and warn them for Me.” (Ezek 33:7)

Now, please do your job. PRAY – and PRAY some more. It is our only hope, in faith:

“Say to those who are fearful-hearted,
‘Be strong, do not fear!
Behold, your God will come with vengeance,
With the recompense of God;
He will come and save you.’” (Isa 35:4)
