Prayer Letter

The work is great and extensive, and we are separated on the wall far
from one another. At whatever place you hear the sound of the
trumpet, rally to us there. Our God will fight for us.

Nehemiah 4:19-20

Dear Friends,

Praise Report: The counseling center frontage will be replaced by Monday (hopefully).  Next step is the flooring and furniture, and we're good to go. Meanwhile, the 'center without walls' is being built as I've begun to assign clients to students as referrals come to me.  King of Kings Ministry, especially the Prayer Tower, received a very favorable write up in the Jerusalem Post including quoting the foundation verse for the ministry being here in the Clal building: "Out of Zion the perfection (clal) of beauty has shone forth" (Psalm 50:2).

Counseling Center: Please pray for the completion of all the renovations.  We’ve picked out the flooring and are waiting for funds to go ahead.  Please pray that appropriate referrals come so that all students can receive supervision.

Counseling Course: Please continue to pray for all the students that they remain so highly motivated and are ready to take on clients.  This coming Monday, Larry and Lorrie Russell of Shepherd’s Heart ministry will be sharing with the class on marital counseling.  Please pray for this time with the students.

Personal Prayer: This month is my birthday.  My motto is: Think you’re too old…think again!  God uses all people and all ages if we're open.  Right? (of course right!).  Please continue to pray for wisdom in implementing the counseling center as well as ongoing prayer for strength and good health.

And for Israel

Please pray against the mounting pressure to boycott and divest from Israeli companies that is being led by the EU and supported by the USA through the current ‘peace’ proposal.  The aim is to dry up business for any companies operating outside the 1967 armistice lines (never officially agreed upon borders).

The targets include companies like Sodastream that employs over 900 Arabs with equal pay and benefits as Israeli workers.  This is just the modern face of anti-Semitism. If this deal is operationalized Israel’s only international airport will be in direct range of missile fire.  What could go wrong there?  The press here reports rabbis taking a strong stand comparing Kerry to Haman, an ancient enemy of the Jewish people.  The rabbis warned “conspire a plan and it will be frustrated; talk the talk and it will not be fulfilled, for God is with us" (Isaiah 9:5).
