Prayer for The Church

to Enter the Fray!

"Deliver me from the hand of my enemies,
And from those who PERSECUTE me."
(Ps 31:15)

Once again it feels very important that we focus on The Church.

1. Christ's Church has been AWOL regarding our persecuted brethren in foreign lands (for example, all Muslim countries, China, North Korea, Cuba and on and on it goes). Yet, the Lord commands us to PRAY and ACT on their behalf (Heb 13:3). So, failing to PRAY for them constitutes a SIN from my perspective (1 Sam 12:23). We seem so self-absorbed that people outside of the walls of our churches are deemed inconsequential. (A great deal of responsibility lies at the feel of the Media who purposely do not publicize these matters.)

2. Again, much of The Church is Disinterested, Ignorant and/or Afraid to have an influence on the upcoming Elections. As a matter-of-fact, some of the Mainline Denominations are so deceived that they are advocating the election of candidates whose policies are an Abomination to the Lord (see Prov 6:16-19). If our Watchmen are incapable of Warning and leading us to "Save the Country" by electing Righteous magistrates, two terrible things might happen: the blood will be on their our hands (see Ezek 33), and their Christian flocks will be so deceived that we will fall off the cliff and enter an Era of Darkness.

I feel confident that together we understand how crucial these Elections are. We also cringe at the thought of the persecution our brethren have to endure for their Faith.

So, it is really important we join together with the Remnant and PRAY for the Leaders of God's Church.

The Articles below highlight these very important matters. Also please watch Romney's speeches from Israel and Poland:

The Religious Silence on Christian Persecution WSJ (Why isn't imprisoned Iranian pastor Youcef Nadarkhani known to activists, politicians and citizens in the West?)

"If churches don't speak up forcefully, then it is unrealistic to expect the world's democratic governments to do the same."

"The church also needs to press the reset button on its priorities. It is a bitter irony that Israel, the one country in the Middle East where Christians live in freedom, is the main focus of church opprobrium."

Romney’s Pilgrimage to Poland Washington Times (Visit highlights importance of religious freedom)

"Two of the 20th century's most respected leaders, however -- President Reagan and Pope John Paul II -- regarded Poland as a symbol of the triumph of the human spirit, proof that the human longing for truth, freedom and dignity can never be extinguished."

"Mr. Romney … acknowledge[d] the key role played by religion as a motivating force in the nonviolent overthrow of totalitarian communism in Eastern Europe."

"Mr. Romney's affirmation of the importance of religious freedom is especially timely, for it comes at a moment when religious liberty is at increasing risk at home and abroad."

"Yet the Obama administration has consistently downgraded religious freedom in its foreign policy."

Presidential Debates Key, But Leave Out Other Voices Washington Times (More debates scheduled for October - one of them, VP)

We must start praying for the Presidential debates -- scheduled for Oct 3, Oct 16 and Oct 22. The VP debate will be Oct 11.
