Prayer Possibilities:

As you know, the Speaker of the House of Representatives on Saturday night (when few people except “policy wonks” were paying attention) FORCED through a vote in favor of so-called health care “reform”.

As you can read in the articles listed below (as well as many in previous Alerts), this “reform” is not about your “health”. It’s about TAKING OVER YOUR LIFE.

It will:

  • Severely impact your own medical care;

  • Increase your waiting time;

  • Cut Medicare payments to doctors and general Medicare availability;

  • Dramatically raise taxes for everyone (not just the “rich”);

  • Raise the deficit astronomically;

  • Pay for ABORTIONS with your taxes (the Democrats have promised their supporters to insert it later);

  • Retard research and development of new drugs and devices;

  • Put decisions about your medical care in the hands of humanistic, pagan bureaucrats instead of your own doctor;

  • Cause thousands of doctors to quit;

  • Make you comply with mandates hidden in the 2,000 pages or pay huge fines or go to jail;

  • And on it goes, 2000 unread pages worth.

This is EVIL ungodly legislation; Its motives and purposes are evil; its implementation, if it becomes law, will be disastrous for you, your family, and for your whole country.

It must be defeated in the Senate.

Its perpetrators must be HUMBLED and RETIRED! Your life may depend on it!

Will Medical Innovation Survive Health Care Reform? by Susan Malinowski and Gary Shapiro, Let Freedom Ring

“Today, the United States is the leader in innovative health care. Most major medical breakthroughs, new procedures and drug treatments are invented, developed, tested and offered in America first.”

“First, any health care policy overhaul should recognize that innovation and treatments of serious maladies comes mostly from specialists. Current proposals cut Medicare reimbursement levels for specialists.”

“A shortage of specialists is not a threat but a near-certain consequence if the health care proposals on the table become law. Scores of doctors in many fields we have talked to will leave medicine rather than lose money on each patient as Medicare reimbursements decrease and malpractice payments increase.”

What Women Want on Health Care by Heather Richardson Higgins, Wall Street Journal Online

“Nearly half of the women in IWF's survey (46%) worry that government-run health care will result in more doctors leaving medicine. More than half (51%) think it will cause a decline in the quality of health care.”
