Isn't It Shameful That…?

Dear Praying Christian:

During the past week we have witnessed two matters which are both shameful and disgusting to those of us who treasure Peace, Love, Mercy, Righteousness and Justice (i.e., the Christian Way). We also want to be Protected by our government.

Let's discuss each one:

  1. Islam's Reaction to the Pope's Speech -
    The crazy, illogical and unreasonable response to a call for “dialogue” has only served to prove the Pope's point: that Islam is a faith of the sword. He quotes an obscure Byzantine Emperor who, in 1391, called holy war “evil and inhuman”. (The Emperor himself was involved in a “dialogue” with an “educated Persian” at that time, proving such was possible then.)
    The Pope agrees with the Emperor who said, “God is not pleased by blood”, that people should be able to reason others to their faith “without violence and threats.” HORRORS! Does that deserve murder and mayhem?

    Not that the Islamofascits care, but the Pope went on to criticize other elements of world civilizations as unreasonable - Protestantism, scientific rationalism, liberal theology, and Catholic plurarism. Why aren't supporters of those non-Muslim targets shooting nuns, burning churches and calling for the Pope's assassination?*

  2. Senator McCain and Company, Including the Democratic Party -
    Do you find it shameful and disgusting that McCain, Colin Powell and other aforementioned liberals want to make it impossible to extract life-saving information from the detainees at Guantanamo? All for political reasons and to stymie President Bush at every turn!

    What about the Democrats and the anti-American Media who are trying to gut and/or kill the wiretapping of messages of terrorists inside and outside our borders? I view that as virtually treasonous since it is aiding and abetting our enemies.
    And then, the same people are exposing and blocking the tracking of financial transfers of terrorists. Is that logical? How can these people (McCain included) consider themselves “patriots”?
    It goes on and on! These people, charged with defending you and me, our loved ones and our neighbors are so blind, deceived and self-absorbed. We are in Great Danger!
When you mix the Muslim fanatics together with McCain, Colin Powell, really stupid Republicans and the Democrats, I must agree with “Washington Times” editor Wesley Pruden: “You don't have to be a prophet to see trouble coming.”

So, what can you and I do? Well, since this is a Watchman's letter to praying people, I suggest we get a sense of URGENCY, since evil is not only at the door, it is also IN the tent.
  • PRAY that God will deal with the Islamic fanatics; He is Sovereign over them; I find it hard to believe He wants them to rule the world; May He INTERVENE ( see Jehoshaphat's prayer in 2 Chronicles 20);
  • PRAY that these evil forces in our government and media be exposed and defeated (Ps 83:17; Pr 25:10; Is 33:1-NIV; 44:11-NIV);
  • PRAY that more members of the REMNANT will awaken, sense the URGENCY and get engaged in Prayer and Action (Esth 1:13; Acts 20:31).
