A Special Message From Harry Valentine

Dear Brethren

“This is a battle for the survival of Christian Civilization,” speech by Winston Churchill at the outset of the Battle of Britain.

The forthcoming battles in Congress over the Marriage Protection Amendment are just what Churchill described - battles for “the survival of Christian Civilization” (the Senate will vote June 5th or 6th; the House in July).
You might ask:

1. “How can you call this a 'Christian Civilization'? What about Tolerance? Diversity? Multiculturalism?”

2. “Why is this Amendment so crucial?”

First, it is obvious to any open-minded study of our history, founders and founding documents that this country was built by strong Christians intent on establishing a nation based on God and His Law/Word. Only people with an anti-Christian bias try (vainly) to refute what is an apparent fact.

Next, for over 300 years, this land has prospered and become the envy of the world because God has blessed it. Why? Because “We the People” acknowledge the Triune God and based our culture and civilization on His Laws and Precepts (Deut 28:1-14).

Why all the concern about this homosexual “marriage” issue? The answer is evident to anyone who knows the God of the Bible. Since His system establishes marriage as ONLY between a man and a woman (Gen 2:24), anything else He considers an “abomination” (Lev 18:22) and will bring His CURSES and Judgments on our nation (Deut 28:15-68; Dan 9:3-19). That is how important He considers Marriage.

Most of you know this. Am I “preaching to the choir?” Yet, do you understand that if homosexuals are able to defy God's Law/Word and “We the People” sanction it, our civilization is finished!

Oh, we will continue perhaps but without God's Mercy, Favor, Help, Providence, Protection, Grace and Approval. If you need any examples of what could happen to us, just look around--tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, plagues, hurricanes, typhoons, famines, rampant lawlessness, shedding of innocent blood, tyrannies, despots, genocides, poverty, wars, etc.

“The wicked shall be turned into Hell and all the nations that forget God” Ps 9:17.

So, it is IMPORTANT that you PRAY for the Senate next week and the House in July. It will take a 2/3 vote in each House of Congress to prevail. If God moves in His Merciful Providence, the Amendment will pass and move on to the States.

Please take Churchill's words to heart - PRAY and ACT. Our civilization is at stake!
