God, Thomas Sowell and the Alien Question

Dear Christian Brethren:

As the debate about allowing illegal aliens to become citizens rages, we must be reminded what the Lord said would be one of our curses if we forsake Him and His Laws (which we are doing):

The alien who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower… he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail (Dt 28:43-44).
Now, as you grit your teeth and get out your pens to tell me how “mean-spirited” and “racist” I am, please consider God’s Word above; then please ponder several articles we are going to send you (the first one today) that offer intelligent rebuttals to the usual leftist politically correct malarkey.
For instance, read what Stanford Professor Thomas Sowell writes (http://www.townhall.com/opinion/columns/thomassowell/2006/04/11/193239.html). Here are some samples:
  • The Mexicans’ “assertions of a right to violate American laws are a danger signal to this society”;
  • “[T]his contempt for the laws has spread well beyond immigrant communities”;
  • “[I]mmigrants in past centuries came here to become Americans, not to remain foreigners”;
  • “[I]mmigrant spokesmen promote grievances, not gratitude”;
  • “[T]hese activists’ efforts to keep them a separate constituency are…unrelenting”.
(Editorial note: as you will see in subsequent pieces, the aliens are being encouraged to keep their allegiance to Mexico and, perhaps, to work for a return of the Southwest to Mexico; they are also being wooed by the Democrats to become another welfare-dependent voting bloc.)

So, what to do and think:
1. Read all the articles before you jump to the “compassionate” conclusions to which the leftists (especially the major news media) are leading you;

2. Pray for Wisdom; why does God warn us about the curse cited above?

3. Pray that God’s Will will prevail, not man’s will.
