GOD WILL AVENGE TOM DELAY

Dear Brethren & Others:

And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? (Lk 18:7)

The hatred for Rep. Tom DeLay (as for President George W. Bush) is not rooted in politics. It’s SPIRITUAL! It’s a full-blown hatred for God (not allah, since allah is NOT GOD) and His Son Jesus.

Tom Delay (TX-R) is an avowed “born-again” evangelical Christian. He says it’s his fondest hope that when people see him, “They’ll see Jesus!”

As such, Tom acts in ways all true Christians should act – he fights against abortion, on behalf of life, for Israel, against homosexual “marriage” and so-called “hate-crimes”, etc. This earns him the hatred of all the leftists, socialists, pro-aborts, homosexual activists, pro-Islamists, anti-American secular elites, etc. WHY? They, in their hearts, hate the God of the Old and New Testaments. Often, they have invented another god in their own image. They want nothing to do with the Biblical Triune God because He has rules, ways, paths, laws and covenants that they would have to follow.

So, they are killers, literally as in abortion, and/or politically as exemplified by what they are trying to do to Tom DeLay. He is THE most effective political tactician in the pro-life movement. So they are trying to take him out.

Yet, these killers do not understand the true meaning of the above Scripture. According to Matthew Henry, perhaps the most astute Biblical commentator in history (1714), “Jesus will come to avenge His own elect. He will come in His Providence to plead the cause of His injured people.”

How will He “avenge” our brother Tom DeLay? I truly do not know exactly how; but He has irresistible POWER. He has hosts and hosts of angels. He created Heaven and Earth and He WILL AVENGE Tom. Woe to those who initiate a fight with God’s elect, His prophet, the apple of His eye, etc. God gave Tom this job. Only He can take it away (Pr 8:15).

• How to pray?

  1. That JUSTICE will be done (Is 42:1; 61:8);
  2. That Tom will be speedily vindicated (Ps17:2; 26:1);
  3. That God’s enemies (who happen to be trying to kill Tom politically) will themselves be exposed, “cut off” and pulled down (Ps 75:7; 94:23; Lk 12:2).
