Dear Praying Brethern:
"Save me, O God, by Your name,
And vindicate me by Your strength. Hear my prayer, O God; Give
ear to the words of my mouth. For strangers have risen up against
me, And oppressors have sought after my life; They have not set
God before them (Ps 54:1-3).
TIn all the years that I have been a Watchman in D.C., I
have been blessed to watch Rep. Tom DeLay (R-TX) staunchly fight
for the unborn, traditional marriage and other moral issues.
I have had the privilege of meeting him and his staff on
numerous occasions and can tell you that he and his staff are
dedicated to doing what is biblically and morally right. He
is a man of great integrity, unyielding and fearless.
The enemy is after Rep. DeLay because Satan knows DeLay
will do what he has said he will do. Rep. DeLay is committed
to seeing Roe v. Wade reversed and stopping judicial
activism in our courts. Also, DeLay is hated by liberals
(politicians, media, polltakers, etc.) because his hugely successfully
fundraising campaigns have helped Christian and conservative
candidates and their causes.
Most American Christians are unaware of DeLay's leading role
in shaping the Congressional agenda, in shepherding Godly legislation
and in stopping ungodly legislation.
I recognize that, like all of us, DeLay is not perfect and can
make mistakes. However, DeLay is a bold, dedicated Believer
in Jesus Christ. No one in Washington could replace him were
he absent even temporarily from his place of leadership.
I consider it an honor to stand by Rep. Tom DeLay and personally
ask you to join me, and our many allies here in Washington, in
praying and acting on his behalf.
