Dear Brothers and Sisters:

In his new book Winning the Future Newt Gingrich believes we have entered a period of great peril. He identifies five major threats to our existence ("America as we know it").

All five are major concerns, but let me focus on two: 1) our enemies (terrorists, dictators) will acquire and use weapons of mass destruction; 2) God will be driven from our public life!

I believe the former is probable and the latter depends on people like you and me. Will you and I resist the wicked pagans and their organizations (see the ACLU, MoveOn.org, church-state separators, etc.) and fight (Pr 21:22; 28:4), or will we all submit and turn our nation (and children) over to the secularizing God-haters and become another Canada, France, Sweden? You all know what happens to nations who forget God (whom they once knew, feared and honored c see Ps 9:17).

Newt is right. I might add that it all depends on you, me and our pastors. Our prayers (and actions) can change history; they can frustrate, expose and defeat the terrorists and their plans; they can place God back where He belongs c in the center of our nations awareness and conscience

We meet weekly across from the U. S. Supreme Court to pray about these matters. Will you join us at home in agreeing prayers on Monday mornings (or any other time suitable for you)? Will you alert others, especially pastors who are supposed to be your local watchmen?

The trumpet is being sounded!

Will you respond? We pray everyone will heed the call, realizing you will have to account for your response (Mt 18:23).
