Dear Praying Brothers & Sisters: At our weekly Monday prayer meeting across from the U.S. Supreme Court (our actual Supreme Court resides in Heaven with the Triune God), we talked and prayed about the tsunami. Sober, Biblical men whom I have grown to respect over a 12-year period believe that even the smallest event in nature is under the providential control of God (see Mt 10:29). We believe that physical things on earth may well be signs of things happening in the Spirit (tsunamis, earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, droughts, etc.). The attendees at our prayer meeting believe that within the travailing and groaning of creation we witnessed in Southeast Asia, God is at work in His World and His Church to further His Sovereign purposes. We pray that His purposes include a dynamic Spiritual earthquake and tsunami brining a great awakening worldwide. We pray for a massive flow of the Holy Spirit in Southeast Asia as well as everywhere else where Jesus is not yet acknowledged as Lord and Savior. We pray that, as part of His Spiritual tsunami, there will be an outbreak of REPENTANCE, sorrow that we have all worshipped false gods, denied and insulted the True Living God and embraced abominations such as abortion, homosexuality, sex trafficking, child kidnapping, beheadings, gross immorality, lawlessness, injustice, persecution of Christians and others, etc. I realize these understandings (and hopes) may seem fanciful, even wishful thinking, to some. Yet, please reflect on the obvious truth that God is on the move; God is speaking; God is warning; God wants our attention! How will you, your pastor and the Church respond?
