March Hopes to Revive Support for Roe v. Wade

There are six thing the LORD hates... haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil... (Pr 5:17-18).

Women and men are to converge upon Washington, DC this Sunday, April 25, for the "March for Women's Lives." Organizers bill the event as a "celebration" of Roe v. Wade. The event is more likely to be a George W. Bush-bashing extravaganza.

  •        The National Organization for Women (NOW), the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL), Planned Parenthood and other sponsors hoping for an "abortion rights march... of historic size" are telling their members that the future of "Roe v. Wade hangs by a thread in the Supreme Court."
They are overwrought by the Partial Birth Abortion Ban enactment and polls that show a majority of American women and teenagers (72%) to be firmly pro-life. Seventy percent of American women want more legal restrictions on abortion.

  •        Austin Ruse, President of the Culture of Life Foundation, warns that pro-abort groups are threatening violence against pro-lifers who counter-demonstrate at the march. At least one pro-abort group is encouraging its supporters to use "confrontational and destructive tactics" against the pro-lifers.

A very close friend of The Capitol Hill Prayer Alert, Rev. Pat Mahoney, will be leading a counter demonstration at the march. Rev. Dean Schultz, a long-time member of the CHPA weekly prayer gathering in Washington, will be helping to lead a pro-life worship service on the morning of the march.

Please Join Us in Prayer:

  •   Father, Thank You that respect for Life is growing across America. Grant sweeping success to those who stand for life against the tide of this March. May a God-given Biblical Awakening end the culture of death in America (Ps 14:8-13; 85:5-6; Ez 3:18-19; 1 Cor 1:18-21).

  •  FRUSTRATE the hopes & plans of the deceived men & women who come to Washington on Sunday. PREVENT the use of violence & PROTECT those who take a STAND for LIFE. In Jesus' Name, AMEN (Job 5:12-15; Ps 5:4-6; 41:2; 64: all; 121:7-8; 2 Tim 2:23-26).
