U.S.-CHINA TALKS BEGIN TONIGHT
Red China Wants U.S. to Stop Surveillance

OVERVIEW:

Tonight U.S. "negotiators" will seek the return of the U.S. spy plane held by China since it was forced to land on Chinese soil after provocation by a Chinese jet fighter ended in a collision. China blames the U.S. for the incident and intends to press for an end of U.S. surveillance flights off its coast. President Bush rejects this, saying that we have every right to fly in international air space. Both sides may raise unrelated issues as "bargaining chips" in the "negotiations."

--U.S. business has spent upwards of $80 million to persuade the Bush administration to overlook Chinese anti-American policies and human rights violations and to continue to promote trade, no matter what.

--Even Rev. Pat Robertson has called for reduced pressure on China for its abortion policy, telling CNN, "They've got 1.2 billion people and they don't know what to do.... If every family over there was allowed to have three or four children, the population would be completely unsustainable.... I think that right now, they're doing what they have to do. I don't agree with forced abortion, but I don't think the United States needs to interfere with what they're doing internally in this regard."

--The Red Chinese threat is growing daily. Yet the Bush administration is under pressure from seemingly every quarter to play diplomatic "softball." The U.S. must not bend on moral principle or on any matter of substance. If America weakens or bends on moral principle, our allies in the Far East will be thoroughly dispirited and forced to compromise with the Red Chinese. Our enemies everywhere will be emboldened. Our leadership is critical for the sake of the entire world.

Meanwhile, the Bush Administration has announced hiring one of America's most infamous homosexual activists to help Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld choose top Defense Department executives. Will our nation be able to stand strong against evil abroad when we cannot do so at home? Achan's sin brought Israel's complete defeat (Josh 7:10-13). Only God's wholly undeserved mercy will enable our "negotiators" to stand strong.

Please Join Us in Agreeing Prayer:

-FORGIVE us, Lord, for the multitude of national sins. Grant us REPENTANCE! We cannot stand among our enemies in OUR OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS. We ask you in MERCY to GUIDE our military leaders & diplomats in China. Give them WISDOM & ENABLE them to stand for RIGHTEOUSNESS & TRUTH. May they obtain the release of our plane without compromise (Lev 26:26-42; Pr 20:14; Is 30:1-2; Rev 18:11-13).
