"Let everyone who is Godly pray to you while you may be found"  (Psalm 32:6)

So Joshua fought the Amalekites as Moses had ordered, and Moses, Aaron and Hur went to the top of the hill. As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning (Ex 17:11-16).

No war in history has been broadcasted so widely or so instantaneously as this one. With media "embedded" among our troops, Americans can watch the war in Iraq twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week while sitting at home. With war scenes being flashed before their eyes nearly every minute of the day Christians wonder, "What can we do to help bring this war to a victorious conclusion with as few casualties as possible?"

The answer is PRAY!

Your prayers for President Bush, our Military Leaders and our Troops are every bit as important as Aaron and Hur's hands were in holding up Moses' arms at Rephidim.

To help you pray, two organizations have put together Internet Web Sites to encourage and facilitate prayer for our troops:

--Every ten seconds, someone is signing up to pray for our troops at the Presidential Prayer Team site: http://www.presidentialprayerteam.org/troopsadoptup.htm . --The Christian Broadcasting Network has over 27,000 pictures of members of the armed services covering their walls. CBN has initiated Operation Prayer Shield at http://cbn.org/special/PrayerShield/index.asp .

Intercessors for America (www.ifapray.org) and other prayer organizations are promoting Friday "Watch-Fires," 9:00 p.m. "Prayer Pause" and "Praying the TV News:"

--The Friday "Watch-Fires" theme is drawn from the Battle Hymn of the Republic: "I have seen Him in the watch-fires of a hundred circling camps. They have builded Him an altar in the evening dews and damps." --9:00 p.m. "Prayer Pause" calls Christians to stop and pause in prayer every night at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time. An advisor to Winston Churchill encouraged this same thing during World War II.

--"Praying the TV News" promotes prayer over what is being reported.

To send prayers and greetings via e-mail or gifts of support to our fighting troops, Fox News has put together a list of options at http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,82385,00.html .
