CHRISTIAN TEACHER FACES DEATH PENALTY
IN PAKISTAN

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, "Come, ye blessed of my Father...for I was in prison, and ye came unto me...Inasmuch as ye have done it to the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me..." (Mt 25:34-46).

Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body (Heb 13:3).

Parvez Masih has been accused of violating Pakistan's rigid Blasphemy Law. Parvez will be hanged if he is found guilty of blaspheming Mohammed, the Muslim prophet. As headmaster of a Christian school in a small village close to Lahore, Pakistan, four students asked him about Mohammed. Parvez advised the four boys to consult their religious leaders. Later, two of the students gave false testimony to Pakistani authorities saying Parvez had spoken against Mohammed. Parvez turned down an offer to drop all charges if he denied Christ. Parvez's next hearing is scheduled for March 16th, 2002.

Join Us in Intercession for the Persecuted Church:

--Heavenly Father, we thank You for the Gospel being spread throughout the earth. We are thankful for the Light of Christ being shone throughout the universe through those who are suffering for You. We pray that more laborers will be sent to bring in Your harvest (Mt 9:37-38).

--Be Parvez Masih's ADVOCATE. Grant him physical, emotional and spiritual STRENGTH during the time of tribulation. SET Your servant FREE! In Jesus' Name, AMEN! (Job 16:16-21; Ps 26:all; 2 Thes 2:16-17)
