"Let everyone who is Godly pray to you while you may be found"  (Psalm 32:6)

"With over two million dead, and millions more homeless, starving and enslaved, America may not continue to turn a blind eye to the atrocities in Sudan." Rep. Tom Tancredo

Earlier this month, Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-CO) reintroduced the Sudan Peace Act. The bill condemns Sudan for its human rights violations and its practices of slavery while calling for U.S. leadership to be utilized during the peace process and the relief efforts. The measure passed the House last fall, but the Senate never considered it.

--The Sudanese government, led by the National Islamic Front, has been waging war against Christian and animist groups in the south for over 17 years.
--Northern Sudanese Arab mercenaries have killed more than two million ethnic peoples in the south.
--More people have died in the Sudanese civil conflict than in Kosovo, Bosnia, Rwanda and Somalia combined.

A bipartisan panel sponsoring the Sudan Peace Act includes: House Majority leader Dick Armey (R-TX), Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY), Rep. Donald Payne (D-NJ), Rep. Frank Wolf (R-VA), and Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC). The National Association for the advancement of Colored People has voiced support for the measure.

-Most Holy Father, Your Son taught us that when we feed, clothe and help those in need, we are doing it unto Him. May the Sudan Peace Act PASS both Houses of Congress. Bless the relief work that is being done to help the southern Sudanese people. MULTIPLY the workers' resources & ESTABLISH the work of their hands (Ps 5:12; 90:17; Mt 25:32-40; 2 Th 2:16 & 17).
-CONVICT the aggressors of the atrocities they are committing. GRANT them repentance, but if they will not repent, JUDGE them & STOP their acts of abuse. In the Name of Jesus, AMEN! (Ps 62:5-12; 1 Ti 1:15) .
