Sen. Edward Kennedy's (D-MA) infamous Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA, S.1284) was recently reported out of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee. The bill could go to the Senate floor for debate and a vote at any time.

**Kennedy has reintroduced ENDA each Congress since 1993, in an effort to impose the radical homosexual agenda upon America. In 1993, Congress' first openly "gay" member, Rep. Gerry Studds (D-MA), introduced ENDA in the House. Congress censured Studds in 1983 when his homosexual affair with a 17 year-old congressional page became public.

**If passed and signed by the President, ENDA will make "sexual orientation" equivalent to race and religion and will harshly penalize employers who discriminate in hiring or promoting homosexuals.

**In 1996, ENDA came within one vote of passage. Republicans then controlled the Senate. With Democrats now in charge, Kennedy expects to pass ENDA, perhaps with a filibuster-proof vote. The bill has 43 Senate cosponsors.

**H.R.2692, the House version of ENDA sponsored by Rep. Christopher Shays (R-CT), now has 190 co-sponsors. Many hope that the House leaders will stifle the bill.

**A June, 2001, Gallup Poll, showed that 85% of Americans favor equal employment opportunity for "gay men and women."

Employers (including the Boy Scouts, public and private schools and child-care facilities, etc.) will all be forced to hire homosexuals. Employers will find it nearly impossible to fire any homosexual. Sexual perversion will enjoy a new place in our law equivalent to religion, race and ethnicity. Like the crime of abortion, immoral perversion will be a special right, a government protected, government-rewarded behavior. Homosexuality will become a part of the fabric of our society. The passage of hate crimes laws, laws recognizing homosexual marriage, etc., will be only a matter of time.
