"Let everyone who is Godly pray to you while you may be found" (Psalm 32:6)
Bush, America Must Stand by Israel
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, Who gives to all men liberally... But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering... A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. (Jas 1:4-8)
Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah visited President Bush at his Crawford, Texas ranch. Abdullah pressured President Bush to soften America's commitment to Israel. The President must now lead amid the din of powerful, loudly competing and conflicting voices. We must pray for him fervently!
**Before Abdullah's visit, a Saudi official and a religious leader to the royal family, Shaikh Saad Al-Buraik, called Saudis on national television to support Palestinian fighters. He urged them to embrace martyrdom for the anti-Israeli, anti-American cause. He said, "I am against America until this life ends... She is the root of all evils and wickedness on the earth. Do not have mercy, neither compassion on the Jews... Their women are yours to take, legitimately... Why don't you enslave their women... pillage them? **Abdullah told Bush he was not doing enough to reign in Israeli Prime-Minister Ariel Sharon. Within hours Bush charged Israel to stop incursions into Palestinian areas insisting, "It's now time to quit it altogether...time to end this." The next day he rebuked Israel again, "Withdraw without delay." But Bush said he stood up for Israel, "I told the crown prince that we've got a unique relationship with Israel...that one thing that the world can count on is that we will not allow Israel to be crushed."
**Abdullah pressed Bush to embrace his own eight-point peace plan. President Bush would not agree.
**Bush asked House Majority Whip Tom De Lay to withdraw a Congressional Resolution expressing Congress' strong bipartisan support for Israel. Similarly, Bush refused to endorse a bipartisan proposal to include $200 million additional aid for Israel in a supplemental budget bill, and he exhorted Congress not to go overboard in its support for Israel.
**State Department insiders say that pro-Palestinian Secretary of State Colin Powell is tired of being undercut by Vice President Dick Cheney, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and others who support Israel. How long Bush can keep his divided team together?
As President Bush challenged the world on 9-11, "You are either with us or with the terrorists." Our President and America are in the valley of decision, "Are we with lifelong terrorist Yasser Arafat and his murderous followers, or are we with the Israeli Jews who sincerely believe in Democratic liberty and the rule of law?" More importantly, are we with the God of the Bible, Who both demands righteousness and justice and promised the land of Israel to the Jews forever?
Please Join us in Fervent, Ceaseless Prayer:
--Grant President Bush supernatural COURAGE & WISDOM, to lead in righteousness. May he DRAW NEAR to You, KNOW Your heart & RESIST all who pressure him to abandon Israel. Unite the Bush Administration & the American People to STAND by Israel, as a true friend & ally, whatever the cost.
--CONSTRAIN the Arab nations. STOP Yasser Arafat & his
terrorist horde. In Jesus' Name, Amen (Josh 1:6-8; 1 Kg 3:5-15;
1 Chr 19:13; Ps 41:5-13; 120:all; 122:6-9).
