"Let everyone who is Godly pray to you while you may be found"  (Psalm 32:6)

Thanks Be to God for His Unspeakable Gift!

Thank you dear friends for standing with us in prayer throughout 2001. And thank you for giving us the privilege of serving you.

With Congress adjourning until late January, we will be taking the opportunity to spend time with family and friends and to rejoice in the birth, death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We plan not to resume sending regular fax and email Prayer Alerts until the beginning of the New Year.

**But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people Israel (Mt 2:6).

**For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this (Is 9:6-7).

**And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth (Jn 1:14).

**Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, for He has visited and redeemed his people, and has raised up a horn of salvation for us... that we should be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us... that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life (Lk 1:67-80).

**My soul magnifies the Lord, And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior... For He who is mighty has done great things... And holy is His name... His mercy is on those who fear Him From generation to generation. He has shown strength with His arm; He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He has put down the mighty from their thrones, And exalted the lowly. He has filled the hungry with good things, And the rich He has sent away empty... (Lk 2:46-56).

--We at The Capitol Hill Prayer Alert pray the Lord will refresh and renew you and all those with whom you partner in prayer during this special season. May yours be a joyous and Spirit-filled Christmas. May the Lord strengthen and prepare each of us to pray over the matters we will face during the coming New Year. Praise God that we have the privilege of knowing Jesus, the Prince of Peace.

--Many of our brethren throughout the earth are facing extreme difficulties at this moment. We pray for the Persecuted Church to know His peace amid their trials. May the Everlasting Father watch over our Christian brethren in Sudan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, China, North Korea, the Philippines (especially the Burnhams), and wherever there is suffering for His Name's Sake. AMEN!
