"Let everyone who is Godly pray to you while you may be found" (Psalm 32:6)
ASHCROFT HEARINGS: WE MUST PRAY!
This is Not Politics, it is Spiritual Warfare
"The LORD is my light and my salvation-- whom shall I fear? ... When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall" (Ps 27:1-2).
Senate hearings to consider confirmation of President-elect
Bush's nominee for Attorney General, John Ashcroft, will begin
Tuesday and last for several days. This is the single most important
appointment George Bush will make.
--The reason they want to stop Ashcroft's confirmation is simple. He is a faithful, consistent, Bible-believing Christian, who has set an example for integrity and evenhandedness throughout his public life. Americans would not tolerate this kind of bigoted attack against a woman or a member of another racial, ethnic, or religious minority. Are Bible-believing Christians open game?
--Ashcroft has done no wrong, yet they seek to destroy him. This is spiritual wickedness of the worst sort. Anything goes in the unholy war for America's soul. If those who hate Christianity are able to destroy John Ashcroft's confirmation, and that while all America watches, it is later than we think.
IT IS CRITICAL that we pray and enlist others to pray for Ashcroft's confirmation. We must pray without ceasing for Ashcroft until his confirmation is official. Remember the dirty tricks that were played on Clarence Thomas? Anything could happen. Prayer will neutralized the works of the enemy.

--Heavenly Father, STOP THE MOUTHS of those who testify falsely & those who attack maliciously against Ashcroft. May the American people PERCEIVE the spiritual wickedness behind this attack and then REJECT & ABHOR it. May every false witness be thoroughly EXPOSED & DISCREDITED. Lord, COMPELL our Senators to publicly support Ashcroft and publicly condemn every attack against Ashcroft. In Jesus' Name. Amen (Ex 18:21; Ps 22:16a, 20-22; 37:7-15; 107:40-43; Jer 20:13; Eph 5:11-14).
